The Kogi State Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTEC) has declared a three-day mourning for two of its students who were killed in kidnappers’ den. The two victims, James Michael Anajuwe, a 100-level Information Technology student, and Musa Hussein, a 100-level Software Engineering student were among students kidnapped by gunmen who invaded the school on May 9, 2024. Meanwhile, a total of 20 of the abducted students were rescued by the security operatives and local hunters. In the suit, marked SC/CV/343/2024, was filed on May 20, by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice (AGF), Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) on behalf of the federal government. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has filed a fresh charge against the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Godwin Emefiele at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory.
