Senator Ifeanyi Ubah representing Anambra South Senatorial District was on Sunday, September 11, ambushed by unknown gunmen at Enugwu Ukwu. Heavy casualty was recorded, bodies of both Policemen and civilians were seen lying lifeless in some of the vehicles most of which it’s drivers appeared to have escaped. The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Allied and Education Institutions (NASU) on Saturday suspended their strike actions following a brief meeting with the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, in Abuja.
