Train Services, operation along Abuja-Kaduna route has temporarily been suspended due to unforeseen circumstances by the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC). NRC made this announcement on Tuesday morning following the bandits attack on Kaduna-bound train with an unspecified number of passengers on board. The gunmen were said to have blown up the rail track, forcing the 1000-capacity train to derail around Rijana, a village on the rail corridor in Kaduna state. Suspected bandits attack train carrying nearly 1000 passengers on Abuja-Kaduna Route at a spot between Katari and Rijana. This is coming months after bandits attacked the rail tracks that almost derailed the train.
