    FCT Minister Of State Condemns Attacks On Communities In Kogi State

    The FCT Minister of State, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has strongly condemned the recent attacks on communities in Oganenigu ward, Dekina local government area of Kogi state. The attack, which occurred on Sunday, April 2nd, saw armed invaders storming the communities and shooting sporadically, resulting in the death of 8 people and the destruction of 52 houses. Among the victims were James Adah, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Oganenigu Ward chairman.

    Expressing her deep concern over the tragic incident, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu denounced the senseless violence and loss of lives and properties. She described the attack as unacceptable and called on the relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.

    Dr Aliyu also expressed her condolences to the families of the victims and assured them of the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens. She urged the communities affected by the attack to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies to maintain peace in the area.

    The FCT Minister of State also called on community leaders, political and religious leaders, as well as other stakeholders, to work together in promoting peace and unity among all ethnic and religious groups in the state.

    She emphasized the need for all hands to be on deck in the fight against insecurity and the protection of lives and properties.

    Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu assured the people of the Kogi State government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all Kogi citizens and called on security agencies to intensify efforts in apprehending the perpetrators of the attack in the Oganenigu ward, Dekina local government area of Kogi state. She also urged members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
