In a landmark move to improve the state’s transportation sector, Governor Peter Mbah has rolled out the first batch of 200 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses in Enugu State. This marks a major step toward building an organized, safe, and affordable public transport system for residents.
The introduction of the eco-friendly buses is part of the governor’s broader transport reform agenda aimed at reducing traffic congestion, cutting commuting costs, and promoting environmental sustainability.
Meanwhile, the state government has debunked circulating rumors suggesting a planned ban on commercial tricycles (popularly known as “Keke”). Authorities have clarified that there is no plan to ban Keke in the foreseeable future, urging the public to disregard such misinformation.
Governor Mbah reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive and people-centered development, assuring stakeholders that ongoing reforms will be implemented with fairness and consideration for all.
