It’s Foolishness To Remain In A Marriage Threatening Your Life. -Emeka Anslem

I honestly didn’t want to get involved in this disheartening news, but perhaps this message would bring deliverance to someone who may be in the same situation.

One of the first things that happen when a man and a woman is joined in marriage is that they become one person. Genesis 2:24 says, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh”.

So they’re no longer man and woman, they’ve become one person.

Now let me ask you a question, have you ever attempted slapping yourself? Or giving yourself a hard punch? Have you ever tried to beat yourself leaving injuries on your body? If you have, you had better not do it where people are present, because you’d suddenly find yourself in a psychiatric home.

Yes, that’s a practice that is only possible if a man is suffering from sublime insanity. Let me show you an example in scripture:

Matthew 17:
14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying.
15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

Did you see that? It’s not possible for a man who is sane to throw himself into fire, and then into water to drown. We can’t hate ourselves so much to inflict pain on ourselves. Only a person whose brain has been altered can do that.

The good thing is, the father of the lunatic boy knew the solution to the problem, and he didn’t hesitate to approach Jesus for the son’s deliverance.

So yes, if your husband beats and dehumanizes you, your marriage needs deliverance. And deliverance simply means seperating the demon from the vessel. In this case, seperate yourself from your husband until your marriage is safe enough to harbour the both of you again. After Jesus rebuked the demon, we were told that the demon departed from the boy, and he was cured the same hour.

Divorce may not be possible, but seperation is. It’s foolishness to remain in a marriage threatening your life.

So stay away from him just so you can have enough air to deal with that demon that is threatening your marriage. Meet a true man of God to pray alongside until that demon is loosed from your marriage.

Some people believe that Mrs Osinachi knew that her husband was a wife beater before she married him. Well, while it’s important to know who you marry, some men are truly good before marriage, it’s just situations and circumstances that were not properly managed that change them.

So in many cases, you wouldn’t even detect flaws like this before marriage. And it’s not like they hide it. There are men who changed when their wife stopped working and the financial pressure became heavy on them. Some other men became a demon when their wife gave birth to a child. Some dehumanize their wife only because they don’t have a male child. There are so many situations that change the man, and even the woman.

While you may be able to discuss these things during courtship, experience has proven that a man or a woman doesn’t really know what he or she wants until they get there. They may say they won’t mind now, but there’s a 99 percent chance that they’d change their mind. As long as man still has Free Will, then expect the possibility of a change of mind.

I’ve counseled a woman whose husband was a pastor of a mega church. She was sobbing profusely when she called to explain how her husband had gone from being a pastor to a drug addict, including womanizing. The church had shutdown, and it was like all hell went loose on her marriage. She called to tell me that she was tired and was going to file for a divorce. I simply told her to seperate herself for 7 days in prayer and fasting, and if her husband doesn’t come back to his senses after 7 days, she should go ahead with the divorce.

She sent a voice note six days after that her husband miraculously came back and that he was ready to serve the Lord again.

Meanwhile, you won’t believe what made this pastor go wild; the church ran into serious debts and the woman who volunteered to clear the debt was Delilah😂.

So don’t pride that your husband will never cheat on you, just pray that he never meets the Queen of Sheba, or even Delilah. The Lord’s prayer will now make sense to you, “… And deliver us from all evil…”.
