The Minister of State for Education, Rt. Hon. Goodluck Nanah Opiah, on Monday assured the staff of the Federal Ministry of Education under the aegis of Ndigbo Association Abroaders, Federal Ministry of Education Branch, that he operates open-door policy and as such his door is open to them at all times.
The Minister gave the assurance in a meeting with the workers at the Conference Room of the Ministry, saying that it is good for brothers and sisters to come together so that they can be of help to each other.
He said his phone number is available to them at all times and that they should call him or send text message to him if they cannot come to see him in the office.
“It is good to have a union because it helps you to identify with each other and be of help in time of need. If there is a union but no conviviality it makes no meaning”, he said.
While thanking the workers for the reception, he charged them to be committed to their work while displaying virtues of honesty and dedication to duty at all times.
Earlier, the workers said they were excited that Mr. President considered their brother for the appointment and pledged to remain focused and dedicated to their duties.
They prayed God to grant the Minister the wisdom and strength to discharge the duties of his office creditably.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of plague to the Honourable Minister of State for Education by the workers.
