Barely 24 hours after being sworn in as the new minister of state for education by President Muhammadu Buhari, Rt Hon Goodluck Nana Opiah assumes duty, dedicates office and position to God almighty through prayers, meets with the Hon Minister for education, Dr Adamu Adamu, Permanent secretary, Directors and top unit heads of the ministry for first briefing.
The new minister, in his bid to hit the ground running, in order to contribute his quota in reshaping the education sector of the nation, has shown his readiness in his desire to have a better educational system in the country.
Recall that the new minister has told Nigerians during an interview with newsmen immediately after his swearing in that having sworn an oath to serve Nigeria as a Minister, he will not waste any moment in contributing his quota in the Education ministry by immediately moving into work in the key areas of importance in the ministry. The new minister, Opiah has shown he is readily prepared to cause a better education system in the nation.
His immediate resumption of duty is a mark of his great desire to see a standard education system in the country. He has shown his burning desire and readiness for a reformed education system.
The burning desire of the new minister, Goodluck Opiah to have a better and reformed education sector is not new to many unbiased people who have followed his polical journey till date. Many will definitely attest to the fact that he has been known for impactful and lasting achievements in every position he has served. He is known for leaving a good footprints in almost every position he has held hence his signature achievements.
