Pan African Youth Union (PYU) disowns Miss Irene Onwuka as the Vice President, W/Africa.
According to the statement issued by the Secretary General of PYU, Wiisichong Bening Ahmed, the union labelled these assertions as completely baseless and lacking any credibility.
While reaffirming that the position of the Vice President for West Africa is not vacant, as it is currently held by Mr Oladele John Nihi from Nigeria, who was elected during the last congress held in Niamey, Niger Republic.
Wiisichong urges, PYU Members, stakeholders, partners, and the general public to disregard any announcements or reports suggesting Irene Onwuka’s purported election.
Stating that the union remains steadfast in its commitment to advocating for the rights and development of African youth through collaboration, structured programs, and empowerment initiatives.
For accurate information regarding the PYU and its activities, individuals are advised to refer only to the union’s official communication channels or publicly disseminated publications by the office.
Reacting to the new development, a close source who wishes to remain anonymous informed Xpariso Media Crew that, “the news of Miss Irene Onwuka emergence as the new Vice President West African came weeks after Mr Oladele John Nihi allegedly resignation from his position as the Vice President West Africa, due to his appointment with the Kogi State Governor to serve as the Chief Press Secretary.”
“He has since been redeployed as the Special Assistant Student Matters, which must have resulted to the retraction.” He said.
